Pregnancy and motherhood profoundly changed my perspective on skincare. During my pregnancies, I learned the importance of knowing what I was putting on and inside of my body. I really struggled to find skincare products without harsh chemicals and synthetic ingredients (oftentimes laundry lists of things I could not pronounce), and I found myself wishing for something purer, safer, and more natural. I discovered beef tallow as a moisturizer and chose to go back to basics with ingredients that nature designed.
And thus, Coolbird was born!
The Coolbird mission is to provide you with the highest quality, chemical-free skincare products, crafted with locally-sourced organic ingredients. There are hundreds of beef tallow balms and creams on the market now, but what sets Coolbird apart is our dedication to sustainability, community, and transparency.
Coolbird Tallow Balms contain only three ingredients: organic grass-fed beef tallow, organic cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil, and natural essential oil blends. Beef tallow provides a rich source of vitamins A, D, E, and K, essential for skin health. The fatty acid profile in beef tallow is highly compatible with the lipids in human skin, which means it can help reinforce the skin’s barrier. Extra virgin olive oil offers a wealth of antioxidants and hydrating squalene, creating a body balm that deeply moisturizes, enhances skin elasticity, and protects against the elements.
